Dear West Vernon Staff and Community

Welcome to the 24-25 school year! Hope your summer break was enjoyable and stress-free surrounded with
loved ones. I am excited, honored, and humbled to transition into my 10th year with you all. This year we
collectively continue improving our collaborative community. Our district instructional foci will be the center of our dialogue and strong professional development with the review of student data at the center.

We will: Accelerate, Adopt, Adapt, and Abandon unneeded practices to strengthen the classroom instruction.

Together, as a team, we will refine Tiers 1, 2 & 3 instruction, have courageous conversations around all academic content areas, promote high attendance, and prioritize the safety and social emotional wellness of all
students and stakeholders.

We will accomplish our 24-25 LAUSD Strategic Plan & SPSA goals by continuing embedding various P-D-S-A (Plan-Do-Study-Act) Cycles to grow professionally based on our current data sets.

We are looking forward to strengthening our partnership focused on student success this upcoming year!
